Located in Launceston, the National Automobile Museum of Tasmania is home to one of Australia’s most significant and diverse motoring collections. Showcasing more than a century of automotive style, innovation and engineering excellence, the museum offers a fascinating journey through the evolution of both traditional and contemporary vehicles.
For over 35 years, the museum has proudly displayed Tasmania’s and Australia’s finest classic cars and motorcycles, earning its reputation as one of the nation’s premier motor museums.

With more than 110 vehicles on display, the museum features dynamic themed exhibitions that change throughout the year, alongside regularly rotating cars and motorcycles in the main hall — ensuring every visit offers something new.
A standout feature of the new location is “The Hall of Muscle”, a powerful tribute to the golden era of Australian muscle cars, highlighting iconic models from Ford, Holden and Chrysler.

Visitors can also browse the museum’s large and distinctive gift shop, offering an extensive range of automobilia collectables and memorabilia — perfect for enthusiasts of all ages.

You’ll find the museum at 84 Lindsay Street, Invermay, directly opposite the Peppers Silo Hotel and just moments from Riverbend Park, Tasmania’s largest children’s playground.
On-site car and motorhome parking is available, and the museum provides full disability access throughout.
